From modern mixed-use developments to large-scale housing projects, our work in the construction sector spans 3 continents and 4 decades. Our formative years in the industry were spent in the Construction sector – and we’ve been lucky to work with many international contractors since.
INFRASTRUCTURE
From airports and railways, to freeways and hydro-electric facilities, the breadth of our experience across these mega-projects, combined with detailed knowledge of modern contracting approaches means we are well positioned to support contracting teams across West Australia.
Insurance
We supported a major energy client in an action bought against their insurers under the Construction All risk policy, for damage caused to their property. These matters are unlike other quantum claims and require detailed analysis of such matters as damage versus defects and the associated fortuity, reinstatement values, basis of settlement, extensions, mitigations and exclusions such as wear and tear.
Information Technology and Telecommunications
IC&R has extensive experience in the construction of long-distance fibre optic networks including ILR's and 3R's, metropolitan loops and points of presence. We also supported out client in the day one construction of data centres and day two colocation and gained experience in the very unique design requirements of these buildings, particularly mechanical, electrical and instrumentation redundancy N+1, which sets them apart from other types of developments.
